Coach Jon Greer
BASEBALL TRAINING SPECIALIST
As a native of the Atlanta area , Coach Jon attended Morrow High School where he lettered in football and baseball. After graduation, he accepted a baseball scholarship to attend Gordon College, where he achieved the accolade of being a Georgia Junior College Athletic Association All-Star. As a breakout player with Gordon, Coach Jon was recruited by a number of schools but chose Virginia State University, where he assisted the team in winning two CIAA championships.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Management, Coach Jon realized his passion for scouting and coaching. While working with the Atlanta Braves, to further increase his skill set and knowledge base, Coach Jon attended the Atlanta Braves Scout School. As a member of the Buck O'Neil Professional Scouts and Coaches Association, he acted as an assistant to professional scouts with a number of MLB teams as well as an assistant instructor for the Atlanta Braves “Play Bill” clinics. Coach Jon has also participated in the Smoltz-Grissom Wood Bat Classic, which served as one of the first wood bat tournaments for inner city youth.

With a deep passion for youth in baseball, Coach Jon is the founder of Toolbox Sports, which focuses on strategically developing amateur baseball players in a way that’s relatable and relative to the players style of play. Coach Jon is also a co-founder of J.R.E.A.M. a community action group and currently serves as lead advisor to founder for the organization “AIM for Youth” ("AIM"). "AIM" is a non-profit organization that affords professional athletes, entertainers, business and civic leaders with an opportunity to give back to their community. "AIM" highlights Health & Wellness, Education, Athletics, and Mentoring, and delivers needed services to undeserved youth. Coach Jon has also served as a mentor for L.E.A.D. Legacy.
